Overview

Virtru does not officially guarantee compatibility with other Chrome extensions. However, most plugins should be compatible and work alongside Virtru without issue. 

Plugins designed to work with Gmail - particularly ones that impact email composing and sending - are most likely to cause conflicts and compatibility issues. For example, Virtru works with the Salesforce Gmail Plugin, but Salesforce's "send later" feature is not supported because it prevents Virtru from adequately scanning and protecting your emails.

How to Resolve Compatibility Issues

If you have identified an extension that is conflicting with Virtru, the best thing to do is turn off the other extension. To do this, in your Chrome browser go to chrome://extensions/ and toggle off the extension(s) in question.

If that is not a feasible solution to your problem, please contact Customer Support and let us know which extensions are causing issues with Virtru. While we cannot guarantee a fix, we always want to make sure we are aware of the most pressing extension conflicts so we can keep those top of mind as we continue to improve our products and offerings.
