Add Secure Share to the Desktop

Although Virtru Secure Share is a web-hosted product, it is available as a progressive web app (PWA) to provide the user experience of a native app. This article will cover how to install the Virtru Secure Share PWA on your machine.

Installation Steps

1. Navigate to https://secure.virtru.com/secure-share/, and choose you sign in method. You may sign in via your provider or a one-time verification link

If you selected the one-time verification link, you will receive an email from verify+XXXXXXXX@virtru.com (with each X being a random digit). Select Verify me to complete the process

2. Once signed in, select the Install button from the address bar

3. A prompt will appear. Choose Install to confirm

Once installed, Virtru Secure Share will appear in it's own window.

Moving forward, you will have a desktop app available to you. We recommend right-clicking the app and pining it to your Mac Dock, Windows taskbar, or desktop for quick access. This will ensure the app is always available, even if you restart your machine.
