By default Google’s predictive services are enabled on Gmail. Predictive services include functionality such as smart compose and automatic spell check. For these services to function, the content of your emails are delivered to Google servers as you type.
Virtru can block these services when encryption is enabled; however, they are not blocked by default.
Predictive services may not be compliant with certain regulations and compliance scenarios (ex. ITAR). While Virtru is always happy to answer any questions about our technology, it is your responsibility to ensure that your configuration and use of Virtru is in compliance with any regulations and requirements you are subject to.
Disabling Predictive Services
Virtru can disable predictive services when Virtru encryption is on for your domain. If you are interested in having this configured, please reach out to your Virtru Customer Success Manager or contact support and request that Predictive Services be disabled.
