Virtru Email Protection for Gmail uses Gmail APIs to allow users to encrypt and decrypt emails locally on their device. Our service does not return any plain-text email bodies or file attachments to our servers. Consistent with Google's Limited Use Requirements, Virtru:
- Limits the use of user data to providing or improving user-facing features in the application user interface.
- Only transfers limited user data sets for purposes of providing or improving user-facing features in the application user interface, to comply with applicable laws, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users.
- Never uses, reads, or transfers user data for serving ads, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- Does not allow humans to read the data contained in your email bodies or attachments.
