If your administrator has deployed Virtru Secure Share for Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint & Teams, you will be able to securely share files in just a few clicks. In this article, we'll walk you through sharing files from Microsoft OneDrive or SharePoint.

Secure Share

1. In SharePoint or OneDrive, navigate to the file(s) you wish to secure

2. Select the files you wish to share. Then, right-click the file(s) or click the More Actions menu (...), and select the Secure Share option

3. You will be redirected to the Secure Share. If you haven't already logged in, you will be prompted to do so. You can Sign in with Office365, Use Single Sign-on (SSO), or request a one-time verification link

If you selected the one-time verification link, you will receive an email from verify+XXXXXXXX@virtru.com (with each X being a random digit). Select Verify me to complete the process

4. Once logged into Secure Share, a Microsoft sign in prompt may appear. If this is your first time using Virtru Secure Share for OneDrive & SharePoint, you will need to review/consent to the permissions required for Virtru to access your files. When ready, select Accept

5. You will then be brought to the "Upload Files" page of Secure Share with the OneDrive/SharePoint file(s) already added. Click NEXT to proceed

6. On the "Secure" page, apply any additional security options to your message. When ready, click NEXT

7. On the "Share" page, you can:

• Enter your recipient(s)
• Set a share subject
• Add additional messaging with optional encryption

8. When ready, click SHARE. You will then be directed to a confirmation page

You will also receive a confirmation email in your mailbox

And your recipient(s) will receive an email in their Inbox with a link to the file(s), as well. (Viewing instructions: View a Secure File Shared with You via Virtru Secure Share)
