With the Virtru Outlook 365 Add-in, you can easily read encrypted messages in the Outlook 365 popout window. In order to decrypt messages, you must first install and activate the Virtru Outlook 365 Add-in (if you have not done so already).
View the video above or the steps below to learn how to read encrypted messages. Please Note: the experience can vary depending on if you are using Outlook on your mobile device, the web, or desktop.
Steps to Read
Web
- Open the secure message that you would like to view
- In the upper right-hand corner of the message, open the Apps menu
- Select Virtru
- Virtru will open a side panel that should appear on the right, which contains the decrypted content

In order to keep this tab open to view additional secure messages, you may pin the side panel
Windows Desktop

Click the secure message that you would like to view

Select the Virtru for Outlook tool
- Virtru will open a side panel that should appear on the right, which contains the decrypted content

In order to keep this tab open to view additional secure messages, you may pin the side panel
Outlook for Mac

Click the secure message that you would like to view

In the See more items menu (...), select Virtru
- Virtru will open a side panel that should appear on the right, which contains the decrypted content

Mobile

Click the secure message that you would like to view

Select the three dots in the upper right corner of the message

Select the Virtru for Outlook add-in

You will then see a pop-up panel that will display your secure message
