Encrypted Search is available to all Virtru teams and single-user accounts. Admins can manage the configuration in their Virtru Dashboard.
Enabling Encrypted Search
Virtru team admins and single-user account owners can enable Encrypted Search in the Organization Settings section of the Virtru Dashboard. Once on the page, navigate to the Features tab and select the toggle next to the Encrypted Search feature:
Changes should save automatically and the toggle will say "Enabled."
If you’re not the admin of your Virtru account, please contact your organization’s internal Virtru admin to enable Encrypted Search.
Disabling Encrypted Search
Disabling encrypted search will prevent you from searching previously indexed emails even if you re-enable encrypted search.
Virtru team admins and single-user account owners who need to disable Encrypted Search can manage this Features tab of the Organization Settings section of the Virtru Dashboard. If Encrypted Search is enabled, the toggle will say Enabled. To turn off this feature, select Disable under the feature description:
Admins will then need to click Disable to confirm the change.
