Inbound Mail

Microsoft provides a comprehensive list of IP addresses that represent the SMTP servers Office 365 will use to deliver SMTP messages.

Final Delivery

If you are using Office 365, the Office 365 SMTP Relay Service may be an alternative means for final message delivery. Please note that this service has volume limitations.

Requirements:

• Gateway Next Hop Host: MX record
• Gateway Next Hop Port: 25
• Office 365 Inbound Connector
  • From: Internal Mail Server
  • To: Office 365
  • Allowed Hosts:
    • Public IP(s) of the Virtru Gateway
• SPF record contains IP/DNS of the public IP(s) of the Virtru Gateway

Create Receive Connector 

• Login into the Admin Console
  • https://portal.office.com
• Navigate to the Exchange Admin Portal

• Navigate to the Mail Flow Section
• Navigate to the Connectors Tab

• Create a new Connector
  • From: Your organization's email Server
  • To: Office 365

• Name the Connector
  • Ex: External to O365
• Enter a description
  • Optional

• What sender IP addresses do you want to use to identify your partner
  • Specify the sender IP address
    
    • Ex: 1.1.1.1
