The Virtru Hosted Gateway can integrate with almost any application as long as the application meets the prerequisites.
The Virtru Hosted Gateway is a standard MTA that will accept mail from any source that can create an RFC822 compliant message.
To ensure maximum deliverability, the Virtru has taken steps to maintain a high level of confidence related to DKIM and DMARC.
These steps include:
- Rewriting the Header.From address to firstname.lastname@example.org
- DKIM resigning the message
The modification of the sender may cause an issue with:
- Spam Filters
- Abuse Filters
- Routing Tools
Virtru Hosted Gateway can integrate with almost any application if the application can route SMTP messages to the Virtru Hosted Gateway endpoint.
The message must contain:
- X-Header Authentication Key
- Containing the Virtru provided key
The X-Header for authentication can get added by an upstream host as long as the application does not remove the X-Header.
