About
When printing a secure Virtru email from Gmail, Outlook Desktop, or Outlook 365, depending on the method you use to print, you may end up with the encrypted "Unlock Message" template instead of the contents of the email. Following the instructions below, you can successfully print the decrypted version of your message.

Printing from the Gmail plugin
In Gmail, Virtru encrypted emails can be printed directly from the print icon in the upper right corner of the message window. This will bring up a print preview or open up a new tab (depending on your internet browser) which should display the decrypted contents and allow you to proceed with printing.
Printing from the Outlook Desktop Extension (Desktop only)
In Outlook Desktop, if you try to print the email using the standard File > Print workflow, you will only see the unencrypted Unlock Message template.
In order to print the decrypted contents, first, open and decrypt the email using the Virtru add-in. Then, right-click the body of the decrypted content and select "Print...". This will print the message as seen through the "lens" of the Virtru add-in.
Printing from the Outlook 365 Add-in (for Web, Desktop, Mobile)
In Outlook 365, it is best to print the content while viewing the Expanded View of the message. You may use the pop-out option at the bottom of your Virtru panel.
Then, right-click the message and select Print...
